Best Advice Ever

From my grandfather, many years (30 maybe?) ago:
If someone offers you a mint, take it. They may know something you don't.

Another, more philosophical gem:
Usually the smartest person in the room is the one who says the least.

Which leads me to the question: What is the BEST ADVICE EVER?

"If you have no expectations, you can never have a disappointment." That's the best advice i try to live by...

When I went to Univ. Texas at Arlington, there was graffiti on one of the buildings that read, "Never try to teach a pig to sing". I think yours is a bit more intellectual, but certainly offers the same point.

Which building was that?

On the North side of the old architecture building. (The fine arts building.) I think it was also on another building, but memory fails me.

Facing the Corral?

My favorite, though one I often fail to heed, is "never pass up an opportunity to keep your mouth shut."

More so facing the bookstore parking lot. To date this even more, I think someone also added "Frankie says" right above it.

I like that advice. Though we both know I often pass up those opportunities also...
